Tractor trailer involved in three vehicle accident in Farmington, CT.
On Thursday, February 25, a tractor trailer rear-ended two vehicles in Farmington, CT. One of the persons in the vehicles was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. An investigation into the exact cause of the accident is still underway.
Tractor trailer accidents often have catastrophic consequences. In cases where negligence is involved, victims may wish to bring the truck driver and trucking company to justice through an 18 wheeler accident lawsuit. Unfortunately, this is rarely easy. In my experience, trucking companies and their insurance carriers will do almost anything to avoid accepting responsibility for an accident. But what they don't want you to know is this: the laws are in place to protect victims in these accidents, and with a experienced 18 wheeler accident lawyer on your side, even the trucking giants can be brought to justice.

Trucker killed in fight over road rage.
Alan Lauritzen was stabbed to death by fellow trucker David Seddon outside Chicago. Police report that the two truckers had been arguing over the closed-band radio for approximately eleven miles, swerving in and out of traffic, and tail-gating each other. Finally, one trucker challenged the other over the radio: "Let's do it." The two truckers pulled over and began to fight. Eventually, Seddon pulled out a knife and killed Lauritzen. The incident has sparked serious debate over road rage in truck drivers. Many truck drivers have commented on the incident, saying that this type of behavior is not uncommon and that truckers frequently belittle and call each other out over closed-band radio. This incident clearly proves that this sort of behavior puts truck drivers in danger. But the sort of reckless, dangerous driving displayed before the fist fight puts innocent motorists at serious risk. Accidents involving 18 wheelers are often catastrophic. These truck drivers should be doing everything they can to make sure that they are not putting other drivers at risk. 4 injured when a semi-truck crosses median and strikes oncoming car
One driver has been hospitalized, and three passengers were hurt following a head-on collision with an 18-wheeler in Cedar City, Utah on Saturday, February 6th, 2010. According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Steven Clyde, a semitrailer was allegedly speeding on Interstate 15, when the driver lost control, crossed the median, and struck a Chevy Malibu with 4 occupants. The driver of the 18-wheeler was a student driver and his instructor was sleeping at the time of the accident. The two occupants were both unharmed.
An accident with a semitrailer can cause many problems for the victim. One of the most difficult problems you may face is the trucker's commercial insurance company. Insurance policies on semi-trucks are generally worth 50 times the amount of normal passenger vehicles. With this much money at stake for the company, they will often do anything that they can, to not pay you. They may deny your claim due to a technicality, but often times they are simply taking advantage of you by shamelessly lying or using your inexperience to their advantage. The best way for you to ensure the best chance of a successful recovery, is to discuss your case with a Dallas Texas personal injury attorney as soon as possible. A fatal accident occurred on Highway 43 in California on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010. Casimiro Casares, 43, was driving an 18-wheeler and needed to make a left turn. He was unable to clear the turn and became stuck. Moises Vargas Gonzalez, 34, was driving a box truck toward the intersection. Casares was uninjured.
An accident with a commercial vehicle is much different from an accident with a passenger vehicle, and should be treated accordingly. Commercial trucks (semi-trucks, box trucks, delivery trucks) usually carry insurance policies that are worth around 50 times the amount of passenger vehicles. With this amount of money on the line, the insurance companies will do almost anything to avoid paying you what you are rightfully owed. From the moment the accident is reported, you will have a team working against you to minimize their liability in the accident. Shouldn't you have a truck accident attorney on your side to fight for what you truly deserve?

If the details of the story are true, this man obviously should have never been on the road. We are all fortunate that no one was killed by his grossly negligent actions that morning. An accident with an 18-wheeler will be exponentially worse than a similar speed accident with a passenger vehicle. If you are ever hurt in an accident with a semi-truck driver, it may have been caused by driver negligence as well. The best way to recover compensation for your injuries, and make sure these accidents do not go unpunished is to discuss your case with a personal injury truck attorney.
