Driver killed by 18-wheeler that crossed over median on I-20 in near Shreveport, LA.
On July 17, 2008 the driver of a pickup truck died when an 18-wheeler careened across the median colliding with his truck. The accident occurred Thursday evening just west of Shreveport, LA as the pickup truck driver was heading eastbound and the driver of the 18-wheeler was heading westbound. Allegedly the 18-wheeler made contact with a Ford Focus in the westbound traffic that caused him to lose control and veer acorss the median into the path of the pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
22-year-old Heather Riley, the driver of the focus, and her passenger were not injured. The driver of the 18-wheeler and a passenger were rushed to a nearby hospital in unknown condition. The 18-wheeler is operated by Pullen Brothers.
