72-year-old Samual Dick is killed in 18-wheeler accident near Van Zandt, TX.
In late June of 2008 72 year old Samual Dick of Cape Town South Africa was killed in an accident with an 18-wheeler. The accident occurred when the Toyota Rav 4 that Dick was a passenger in was struck from behind by an 18-wheeler on I-20 by mile marker 543 near Van Zandt, TX.
45-year-old Glennis Leonore Nelson of Dallas, TX. was driving the car, and Mr. Dick, 18-year-old Jaid Nelson of Dallas, and 69-year-old Ann Dick were all passengers.
DPS troopers state that the driver of the 18-wheeler failed to control the speed of his vehicle.
