Trucker Donald Toof dies in 18 wheeler rollover accident in Lincoln County, NE.

On Monday, August 16, 44-year-old 18 wheeler driver Donald Toof died in an accident in Lincoln County, NE.  The incident occurred on Highway 83, shortly before 2:00 p.m.  Local news stories indicate that the front axle of the 18 wheeler broke after striking a guard rail.  This allegedly caused Toof to lose control, and his truck overturned in a ditch just off the road, causing a large amount of fuel to leak all over the scene.  Medical officials arrived, but were not able to extricate Toof from the wreckage for a few hours.  He was killed at the scene.  The crash is still being investigated, as police try to figure out exactly what happened.
