One person seriously hurt in Anne Arundel County, MD 18 wheeler accident.
On Friday, August 20, an 18 wheeler accident in Anne
Arundel County, MD left one driver seriously injured. The 18 wheeler and the accident victim were
driving at approximately 4:30 p.m. on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge when the crash
happened.Early reports state that a red
Corvette was driving in front of the 18 wheeler, but the Corvette was forced to
slow down due to afternoon commuter traffic.Allegedly, the driver of the 18 wheeler did not slow down in time and
the Corvette was rear-ended and crushed against the guardrail on the
bridge. The driver of the Corvette was
seriously injured and taken to Shock Trauma Medical Center, though thankfully,
his injuries are not life-threatening.The victims’ name was not immediately released. The accident remains under investigation, as
police try to determine whether or not charges are warranted.
