Trucker Walter Dixon dies in fatal 18 wheeler crash near St. Augustine, FL.

On Saturday, August 14, a fatal 18 wheeler accident claimed the life of 52-year-old trucker Walter Eugene Dixon near St. Augustine, FL.  The crash occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 95.  According to local news stories, Dixon was travelling north when he suddenly lost control of his 18 wheeler, which veered off the road, hit a wet ditch, and crashed into some trees.  The truck jackknifed and caught fire in the crash.  Dixon was killed at the scene.  The accident is still under investigation, as police try to determine why Dixon lost control of the vehicle.
