18-wheeler slams into Chicago bus terminal killing Eloisa Guerrero and Delisia Brown

Both of the victims who lost their loves in this accident have been identified. 47-year-old Eloisa Guerrero, and 18-year-old Delisia Brown perished in the accident. Brown was on the escalator and Guerrero was waiting at the bus stop when the 18-wheeler crashed into the station.
The driver of the truck has been identified as 64-year-old Don Wells, of Metamora, Michigan. Wells was issued a citation for negligent driving. Wells drives for Whiteline Express of Michigan and it is believed that Wells may not have been licensed to drive in the state of Illinois at the time of the accident.

During the evening commute on On April 25, 2008 an 18-wheeler driver lost control of his truck crashing the vehicle into a Chicago Transit Authority train station. The 18-wheeler slammed into the stairway that leads from the street level up to the elevated platform above.
The accident left two dead and 21 injured. The driver of the truck was taken to a local hispital for treatment of minor injuries. Upon his release from the hospital he was taken into custody by the Chicago Police Department and was escorted to the police station in handcuffs. The police have not officially charged the 18-wheeler driver as of yet.
According to a Chicago Transit Authority representative, at least one surveillance camera captured images or video of the 18-wheeler crashing into the train station. Authorities are using these images in their investigation. An eye witness claimed that the truck did not appear to slow down or brake as it drove toward the platform.
