Local news reports stated that an 18-wheeler crashed into a TxDOT truck along Highway 6 on Monday morning, stopping traffic for a few hours. The accident happened at about 9:00 a.m. on January 28, 2013 and left several vehicles damaged.
Sources said that an 18-wheeler was driving south on Highway 6 when a driver allegedly slowed down, causing him to brake suddenly. The big rig then struck a guardrail and jackknifed, sending the trailer into a traffic mounted attenuator and a TxDOT truck. The driver wasn’t seriously injured by the accident, but traffic was shut down for a few hours while the scene was being cleared.
