Box truck and 18-wheeler crash at intersection. Moises Vargas Gonzalez dies in wreck.
A fatal accident occurred on Highway 43 in California on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2010. Casimiro Casares, 43, was driving an 18-wheeler and needed to make a left turn. He was unable to clear the turn and became stuck. Moises Vargas Gonzalez, 34, was driving a box truck toward the intersection. CHP said Gonzalez was traveling in excess of the posted 55 mph speed limit at the time. He did not see the tractor trailer until it was too late, and died as a result of the accident. Casares was uninjured.
An accident with a commercial vehicle is much different from an accident with a passenger vehicle, and should be treated accordingly. Commercial trucks (semi-trucks, box trucks, delivery trucks) usually carry insurance policies that are worth around 50 times the amount of passenger vehicles. With this amount of money on the line, the insurance companies will do almost anything to avoid paying you what you are rightfully owed. From the moment the accident is reported, you will have a team working against you to minimize their liability in the accident. Shouldn't you have a truck accident attorney on your side to fight for what you truly deserve?
