One 18 wheeler accident leads to another

Two people left dead and one seriously injured following back to back accidents featuring 18 wheelers on I 35 near the Texas State Technical College exit.

The driver on an 18 wheeler braked abruptly causing the car driven by 73 year old Peggy Bays of Elmott, TX. to slide under the trailer killing her.

A second driver, 62 year old Robert Miesler, swerved to avoid the accident resulting in a collision with another 18 wheeler. His wife, Patricia, died at the scene and Robert was badly injured.

The drivers of the 18 wheelers were not injured.
