Two tractor trailers collide, trucker Johnathon Willmon killed
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 - 33-year-old truck driver Johnathon J. Willmon of Bonner Springs, KS, was killed Tuesday in an accident with another big rig. Willmon was driving eastbound through a snow-covered road, just east of Plattsburg, Missouri, when his tractor trailer hit a westbound tractor trailer that had crossed the center line, jackknifed, and struck a bridge rail. Willmon was pronounced dead on the scene.
According to highway patrol, the cause of the accident was not that of Mr. Willmon. His family should not be forced to suffer the emotional burden, and the financial burden. If the death was caused by the negligence, action or inaction of another, that person should be held liable for the expenses associated with the wrongful death. Trucking insurance companies will try every trick in the book to deny your claim, or to have you accept the smallest payment they can get away with. Do not agree to anything without first discussing it with a trucking accident attorney or a wrongful death attorney.
