On August 26, 2009, a cargo truck crashed into the side of a passenger vehicle in Houston. The accident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. as the vehicles were traveling northbound on I-45. According to investigators, the 18-wheeler attempted to change lanes to his right when he collided with the driver's side of the passenger vehicle. The 18-wheeler pushed the car for some distance. The car's driver was transported to an area hospital in stable condition. The driver of the truck was not injured.
