On July 23, 2009, two people were killed in an 18-wheeler accident in Fredrick County Virginia. The fatal trucking accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the Shenandoah Valley as four tractor-trailers and a passenger car collided in a fiery chain-reaction accident as they were slowing for an accident that occurred several hours earlier. Several other vehicles wrecked as they passed the accident site bringing the total number of injured to nine, in addition to the two deceased accident victims. The identities of the victims were not released to the public.
