An 80-year-old woman was injured in a trucking accident in Sun City

On July 27, 2009, an 80-year-old woman was critically injured in an accident involving an 18-wheeler. The details of the accident are a bit sketchy, but it is known that the woman was driving northbound on 103rd Ave. in Sun City, AZ. when an 18-wheeler struck her car causing it to crash into a fuel pump at a gas station. The woman was extracted from her vehicle and transported to John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital  for treatment of her injuries. Neither the cause of the accident, nor any indication of fault has been released.
