One person killed in trucking accident on U.S. 290 in Houston

On June 24, 2009, an 18-wheeler accident claimed the life of a Houston resident. The accident occurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. on the frontage road of the Northwest Freeway almost to Windfern. The details of the accident are sketchy at best, but it is known that the driver of a passenger car died at the scene. Police are still investigating.
