18-year-old man killed when 18-wheeler makes an illegal U-turn

On May 18, 2009, an 18-wheeler accident claimed the life of an 18-year-old man from Turlock, CA. The fatal trucking accident occurred as the Costco 18-wheeler driver made an illegal U-turn on Highway 152 which caused a Dodge Charger to drive under the trailer, cutting he roof of the car off. An 18-year-old male passenger in the car was killed instantly in the accident. An 18-year-old passenger from Hughson, and the 19-year-old female driver from Ceres were flown to Regional Medical Center in San Jose for treatment of serious injuries. Two other passengers in the Charger were treated at the scene and later taken to a Hospital in San Jose. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not severely injured. Authorities are investigating the accident, and have not filed any charges as of yet.
