Three severely injured in accident between pickup truck and 18-wheeler

On June 9, 2009 three people were seriously injured in an accident involving an 18-wheeler. The accident occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. on eastbound Loop 1604 North at Graytown Road as the driver of a pickup truck and two children were rear-ended by another pickup truck. The force of the collision sent the truck into oncoming traffic, into the path of the 18-wheeler. The driver and the two children, ages 13 and 8, were all transported to University Hospital by helicopter. The driver of the truck that allegedly rear-ended the other suffered non life-threatening injuries.
