Trucking accident shuts down I-10 for two hours

On April 28, 2009 an trucking accident shut down I-10 for two hours. The trucking accident occurred in the evening hours as an 18-wheeler jackknifed for reasons not yet determined. As a result, the truck overturned blocking all eastbound lanes. Traffic was rerouted for a period of two hours while crews worked to clean up the debris. Fortunately, the driver of the truck was not seriously hurt.
