Christopher Glenn Patt, 22, of Baytown was killed on December 8, 2007 when his vehicle hit an 18-wheeler driven by Steven McKay Gregory, 49, of Houston.
Mr. Patt was traveling northbound on F.M. 50 near Burleson when he swerved into the southbound lane and struck the 18-wheeler head on. Mr. Patt was pronounced dead at the scene.
A thorough investigation will need to be done by the Texas Department of Transportation. Factors that would be investigated would include drug or alcohol involvement, defective tires, sleep deprivation, driver inattention and a host of other potential factors.
