Sources reported that Damian Antonio Ochoa was struck and killed by an 18-wheeler while riding his bicycle near the intersection of Frontage Road and International Boulevard. Ochoa was reportedly attempting to ride his bicycle to visit his grandmother in Mexico.

Authorities claimed that the 14-year old boy may have been riding down the wrong side of the street at the time of the accident. Ochoa was fatally injured from the impact of the collision and later died at a local hospital. Ochoaz attended Lopez High School where he would have finished as a 9th grader later in 2012.
