Pasadena Police Department Offices injured in 18-wheeler accident
On February 19, 2009 a Pasadena, TX Police Department Officer was severely injured in a trucking accident. The 18-wheeler accident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the 10200 block of Red Bluff near Underwood. The details of the accident have not yet been made available to the public, but it is known that the police cruiser that the officer was traveling in burst into flames shortly after the collision. Although the officer was trapped in the vehicle, the fire was extinguished before he could suffer any burn injuries. The officer did, however, suffer a punctured lung, a damaged spleen, a broken leg, and a broken arm. The driver of the 18-wheeler suffered minor back injuries in the accident.
