18-Wheeler and Train Wreck in Caddo Parish, LA Injures 2 Men

According to news reports a train and an oil tanker struck each other in Caddo Parish LA injuring 2 men on the train. Authorities said that the oil tanker was traveling west along Vardaman Road and did not stop for the oncoming train despite traffic signals. The accident happened on March 31 2012 at approximately 10:00 a.m.

2 men on the train were treated for injuries but there were no fatalities. The oil tanker allegedly spilled large amounts of oil into nearby fields when it was struck by the train. Authorities will continue to investigate the event.
