Highway 66 East of Rockwall Dangerous Due to Hills and Curves

There have been numerous accidents including 3 deaths on Highway 66, east of Rockwall, Texas due to curves and hills. A 15-year-old, Kyla Jones died on November 15, 2007 after being involved in a 2 car collison.

There have been a total of  52 accidents on Hwy 66 in the last 7 years.  Texas Department of Transportation as well as city officials are working on trying to widen the highway sometime in the future.  It may take a few years to get the finances needed to correct this problem.
