30-year-old Erik Sanchez of Walnut, CA. killed when crushed by an 18-wheeler

30-year-old Erik Sanchez was killed in an accident with an 18-wheeler in Anaheim, CA. on November 18, 2008. The accident occurred as Sanchez, a pest control technician, was working at a customer's warehouse facility dispersing chemicals around a loading dock. An 18-wheeler was attempting to back up to the loading dock when the trailer of the vehicle struck Mr. Sanchez and pinned him against the loading dock. Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head trauma.

A note from
Texas trucking accident attorney E. Michael Grossman:

My firm has represented many clients in 18-wheeler accidents and the one that always sticks out in my mind is a case that is almost identical to the events described in the article above. Our client was working on a loading dock and he too suffered a severe head injury when an 18-wheeler pinned him against a loading dock. I think most people would be quite surprised to realize just how often accidents like these occur. My firm works to hold 18-wheeler drivers accountable for their actions to discourage such reckless driving so that accidents like this do not continue to happen. I will keep my Sanchez's family in my prayers.
