On October 28, 2008 an 18-wheeler burst into flames as it collided with another 18-wheeler in East Bexar county. The accident occurred early in the morning on I-10 near Trainer Hale Rd. Reportedly, the driver of an 18-wheeler fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the back of the 18-wheeler in front of him. This resulted in the rear bumper of the front most truck piercing the fuel tank of the rear most truck causing it to catch fire.
