When a multiple vehicle wreck results in the loss of life or severe injury an independent investigation may be pursued that can look into whether or not certain issues of liability may have existed in regards to the accident. For example initial news reports can sometimes be unclear as to how an accident occurred. If there is reason to suspect that negligent behavior by any involved entity may have been a causative factor in this wreck a third-party investigation may be able to look into such issues. In the event that a truck driver bears liability for an accident both the driver and their employer can be held civilly liable for the results of the drivers possible negligence. However other issues like an over-loaded truck or a mechanical malfunction may have also played a role in this tragic wreck and an outside investigation can look into the specifics of the accident in order to determine if such issues may have been a cause or a factor to this tragic accident.
