Seven children injured when an 18-wheeler collided with a school bus
On
August 4, 2008 seven children suffered minor injuries after an
18-wheeler collided into the back of a school bus. The accident
occurred on Highway 259 near Ore City, TX.
The
children were being transported to band camp when the bus they were
travelling in had a mechanical problem and was forced to pull onto the
shoulder of the road. A second bus was brought to the scene and the
children were transported to that bus. Shortly thereafter an 18-wheeler
collided into the second bus. The driver was cited for failure to
control his speed.
